General terms and conditions of participation for the school year 2025/2026

Teaching of English courses for children starts in the week of September 8, 2025
It takes place at the following locations:
Family and Community Center Chaloupka, Smetanovo náměstí 7, Ostrava Centrum
Leisure Center ZÁBŘEH in Klubek, Gurťjevova 8, Ostrava Zábřeh
Masarykova ZŠ - in the premises of the side wing of the ZŠ, Seifertova 601, Bohumín
Annual time allowance in full-time courses:
2 x 16 - 30 min. lessons - toddlers (in the 2nd half 45 min.)
2 x 16 - 60 min. lessons - beginners
2 x 16 - 90 min. lessons - intermediate
2 x 16 - 90 min. lessons – advanced learners of all ages
You can individually arrange an intensive course 2 times a week, if groups of the same level are open.
Annual time allowance in online courses:
2 x 18 lessons – the length of the lesson depends on the number of children registered. A more detailed breakdown is in the price list HERE
 
Each child is accompanied by a responsible adult who, in the case of toddlers and beginners, actively participates in the lessons. For other children, the active or passive participation of the parent is derived from the individual needs of the child. The teacher is not responsible for supervising the children in the presence of the parents.
The number of children in the group is 8 - 9
The condition for opening a language course is the receipt of at least 7 valid applications. With a lower number of children, it is possible (by agreement) to shorten the lesson time, or increase the price accordingly. In case of registration of a lower number of children (6-5) in a 90-minute group, the time allowance will be reduced to 60 min. at the price listed in the price list HERE.
You can also join the class during the school year.
In the event of a significant reduction in the number of students in the group during the school year, this course may be canceled. In such a case, an alternative will be offered and, if it is not accepted by the parent, a proportional part of the price of the canceled course will be refunded depending on the hours taught.
In case of non-attendance at the class, excuse your children either by sending an email to babyenglish@seznam.cz no later than the day before or by texting 737 744 997 no later than an hour before the start of the class.
In the event of a long-term absence of a child, no claim for a refund or reduction of tuition fees can be made. However, cancelled lessons can be replaced, by agreement with the teacher, in other courses of the same or lower level until the end of the paid course, with the exception of toddlers, when it is possible to replace lessons in beginner groups.
Lessons do not take place on state-recognized holidays and the Christmas period. In some cases, which are announced in advance, also during school holidays. If a lesson is canceled due to the teacher's illness, the semester will be extended by this hour.
Unless otherwise agreed individually, payment is made twice a year and can be made by transfer to account number 200450583 / 0300 VS: date of birth of the child and the child's name in the note or in cash directly at the lesson. Payment for the first semester must be made no later than September 27, 2025 and payment for the second semester must be made no later than January 17, 2026.
The legal guardian is obliged to pay the course fee properly and on time.
The price of individual courses is determined in the price list, which is available on the website HERE.
For children starting out, payment can only be made after the first lesson, at which you will clarify whether the form of instruction will suit the children. If you like the lesson, you will pay the full course fee, if not, you will leave and pay nothing.
Free participation of a sibling up to the age of 1.5 years will be allowed only if he does not significantly disrupt the lesson!
The course instructor has the right, after prior notice, to exclude a child from the course whose behavior significantly disrupts the course. If the course has already been paid for, the parents will be refunded an adequate amount for the lessons not completed.
Children and parents must avoid actions that would damage the instructor's property or the property of the landlord of the premises in which the lesson takes place, and if damage occurs, they must compensate it in full.
Videos, photos and voice recordings taken by parents during classes may not be posted on the internet without our consent.
By completing the application, the legal guardian agrees to the processing of personal data in accordance with applicable legislation and to the taking of photos and videos during classes and their publication in promotional materials and the official Baby English website.
